Let Me Tell You About Myself

Others have described me as an accepting, encouraging, enthusiastic, inspiring and knowledgeable fitness and lifestyle coach.

I have been trained in physical education, personal fitness, lifestyle management and adult education.

My passion has always been personal health & fitness, and I have been successfully leading and coaching clients since 1992. During this time, I have also operated large membership centres, successfully managed fitness clubs and developed innovative wellness centres while consulting privately throughout Nova Scotia and Canada.

Now I help people 1:1. My clients learn how to move easier and build strength. Our work revolutionizes how they understand personal fitness and how to build it with balance.

I thrive on bringing new ideas and technology to the forefront of my practice and stretching my client's minds and limits. Throughout my career, I have helped thousands of clients, completed as many fitness assessments and facilitated hundreds of hours of learning workshops for many types of people and organizations.

I wholeheartedly assist my clients in their journey to bolster their fitness, lifestyle and health. This is because I believe that personal fitness can assist you in every domain of your life, no matter what opportunities or challenges you may find yourself working with.

Each day, I am truly thankful for the opportunity to provide meaningful solutions that help people find the fitness, energy and vibrancy they want for their lives.

When not working on a clients' or my fitness, I enjoy hanging out with my daughter, Martaine. You may also find me enjoying the beauty of Point Pleasant Park with Bailey, my Bull Mastiff.

For my own fitness and health, I exercise regularly so that I am fit enough to thrive at my work and have energy left to enjoy the activities and sports I love. Jogging is my go-to choice for exercise and I'm very happy today to consider myself a non-competitive half marathoner. In the warmer seasons I enjoy plenty of biking too. My plan for healthy living is simple and is based on being physically active, relaxing and making (mostly) healthy choices when shopping, cooking and at-home eating and dining out.
